RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, and services for construction projects.
• Develop, issue, and manage tenders, evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate contracts for mechanical components.
• Coordinate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other departments to ensure procurement aligns with project specifications and timelines.
• Monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare procurement reports, manage project budgets, and track costs related to mechanical materials and equipment.
• Identify cost-effective procurement solutions while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure that procurement activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Stay updated on the latest mechanical technologies and innovations to improve procurement efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in mechanical or construction projects.
• Freshers with strong field backgrounds or internships in mechanical projects are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple procurement tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Procore) is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering codes, industry standards, and safety regulations is essential.
