RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and assess procurement needs for engineering projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, considering technical specifications and project requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, conduct technical evaluations, and negotiate contracts for engineering materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements in procurement activities.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and technological advancements to inform procurement decisions.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to define technical specifications for procurement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procurement activities, contracts, and technical documentation.
- Resolve technical issues with suppliers and contribute to the resolution of project-related challenges.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
- Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer, particularly in the construction or engineering sector.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering materials, equipment, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with attention to technical details.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software, technical documentation, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
